Bangkok, Thailand - On 22 February 2026 at 2:00 p.m., Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya graciously presided over the opening ceremony of the 73rd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair. The event is organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, with the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) or (GIT) as co-organizer, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). The fair is scheduled to take place from 22–26 February 2026. The opening ceremony was attended by Mrs. Suphajee Suthumpun, Minister of Commerce; Mr. Vuttikrai Leewiraphan, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce; Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion; Mr. Sumed Prasongpongchai, Director General of the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand; along with senior executives from the Ministry of Commerce and representatives from relevant private sector organizations.

The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair is recognized as one of the world’s four most important gems and jewelry trade fairs and serves as a key mechanism in reinforcing Thailand’s position as a major global trading hub for gems and jewelry. The event provides opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs at all levels to meet and negotiate with international partners, build business networks and alliances, exchange knowledge, and strengthen the global image of Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry. It further highlights Thailand’s internationally recognized strengths in quality, refinement, and master craftsmanship.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness graciously cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the 73rd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair and visited the special exhibition “TREASURE OF DREAMS: SIRIVANNAVARI X BEAUTY GEMS.” The exhibition showcases a high jewelry collection designed by Her Royal Highness and crafted by Thailand’s master artisans. The collection reflects Her Royal Highness’s commitment to continuing the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother in preserving and advancing Thai traditional craftsmanship, with the aim of promoting Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry on the global stage.
The Minister of Commerce respectfully submitted a brief report stating that Thailand’s gems and jewelry sector plays a significant role in driving the national economy and consistently ranks among the country’s top three export industries, generating more than 400 billion baht annually (excluding unwrought gold). The Ministry of Commerce, through DITP, first organized the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair in 1983. Since then, the fair has grown significantly and is now internationally recognized as one of the world’s four leading jewelry trade exhibitions.

For the 73rd edition, the exhibition area has been expanded to cover Halls 1–8 on the G and LG levels, as well as the Plenary Hall on Level 1. A total of 1,222 companies from Thailand and overseas are participating, occupying 2,794 booths. The event is expected to welcome more than 45,000 visitors from around the world and generate trade value of no less than 3.5 billion baht.
The 73rd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair will be held from 22–26 February 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. For more information, please visit www.bkkgems.com or www.facebook.com/Bangkokgemsofficial.
